CTV’s London 2012 Coverage: By the Numbers

This is the first of a couple posts tonight. TSN (and CTV) do a “By the Numbers” feature for all of their big properties (Grey Cup, World Juniors, Olympics etc.). I’ve received the London 2012 edition. Has a couple interesting behind the scenes figures.

  • 5,500+ – hours of London 2012 coverage by the Consortium
  • 3,500+ – hours of coverage on CTVOlympics.ca and RSDolympiques.ca
  • 2,000+ – hours of coverage on television
  • 1,200 – members of the Consortium‟s production team
  • 703+ – hours of coverage in French
  • 350+ – people on French production team
  • 223+ – hours of coverage that will air in languages other than English and French
  • 22 – hours of coverage each day on CTV
  • 22 – hours of coverage each day on RDS
  • Up to 15 – live streams available at CTVOlympics.ca and RDSolympiques.ca
  • 11 – languages in which coverage will air
