The annual tournament that Canadians either love or hate is back for another year and is on home soil. Split between Toronto and Montreal (and again in 2017), TSN will cover every game of the tournament from December 26 to January 5. Coverage includes the pre-competition games which begin tonight with Canada playing Russia in Toronto. Canada’s three warm-up games will be on TSN and the games featuring other nations streamed on TSN GO.
James Duthie and Bob McKenzie will be in Montreal for the Canada round-robin games and in Toronto for the playoff and medal games. Calling the Montreal-based games and playoffs will be Gord Miller, Ray Ferraro and Ryan Rishaug. Bryan Mudryk and Craig Button with host in Toronto during the prelim round with Dennis Beyak, Dave Reid and Tessa Bonhomme on the call.
A 60-minute preview show will screen Christmas Eve at 7pm ET on TSN.
TSN Radio across the country will broadcast every pre and regular tournament game, select quarters and semi games and the gold medal game. Pre- and post-game shows are hosted by Jim Tatti and Todd Hlushko. Play-by-play commentator Elliott Price and analyst Jack Miller deliver the call for all games.
TSN.ca and TSN GO will feature a multi-angle option for Canada’s and the medal games allowing streamers to choose from four unique camera angles as well as a stack of other content and options online during the tournament.
