NFL Canadian TV Guide: Week 2

NFL LogoLast week saw Bell’s channels only broadcast a single late game. This week, the 1pm slot has its turn, with only two choices available on CTV across the country. Everyone except the unfortunately souls in Toronto and Kitchener get Pats-Vikings. The Bills will be simsubbed into Southern Ontario. With TSN showing CFL and NASCAR, there is only one choice for those without timeshifting channels despite Bell’s promises of two games each week in each slot. The late slot brings a couple more options with the majority getting Jets-Packers on CTV. Tonight also marks the first night of Thursday Night Football on CBS which is simsubbed on City but weirdly, also being shown on Sportsnet. Enjoy.

  1. What happened with CTV 2 showing games? That was in the original release, wasn’t it. Why did Bell Media take the 4 pm games, knowing they had CFL and NASCAR commitments on most Sundays.

  2. Thursday Night game also on TVA Sports
Patriots @ Vikings and Chiefs @ Broncos also on RDS2
Both Sunday Night and Monday Night games also on RDS

  3. I see a problem with the double header on CTV. It seems they cannot pick up games that start at 4:05 (late games on non-double header network). CTV now misses out on the choice simsub in BC and Alberta (boo hoo). As a Seahawks fan in Vancouver it also means that I cannot get a game OTA that I would have gotten in previous years on CHEK or CITY.

What do you think?
