Winnipeg Jets 2014-15 NHL Regional Schedule on TSN3

Winnipeg_JetsFor Winnipeg Jets fans, it is out with the TSN-Jets channel, and in with TSN3. With TSN adding three additional channels this coming Monday (August 25), TSN3 will become the home for 60 regional Jets games for the upcoming 2014–15 NHL season. For those in the western regions of Canada (Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nunavut, and Northwest Territories), TSN3 will become your default TSN channel, which is especially important to those on basic cable. Jets games will be subject to blackout outside this area.

TSN’s Jets coverage will feature play-by-play commentary by veteran broadcaster and Manitoba native Dennis Beyak. Colour commentary duties will be shared by Shane Hnidy and Brian Engblom. TSN Winnipeg bureau reporter Sara Orlesky will follow the Jets all season long to deliver news on the team across TSN’s slate of programs and platforms.

  1. “For those in the western regions of Canada (Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nunavut, and Northwest Territories), TSN3 will become your default TSN channel”

Are you sure about this? What are TSN1 and TSN2 then? My understanding was that those two would be kept as national feeds.

  2. I wonder if Alberta ends up with TSN1 since TSN3 would have Jets games blacked out 60 odd times. I don’t think TSN has any rights in BC that would be blacked out in Alberta.

What do you think?
