2013 College Football Conference Championships

After a spectacular rivalry weekend in college football that saw Alabama lose for the first time since November of 2012, the conference championship games take centre stage this weekend. Alabama’s loss means that Ohio State and Florida State will likely play each other in the BCS Championship if they win Saturday night in the Big Ten and ACC Championship Games respectively. However, Missouri and Auburn both have a chance to jump to #2 with a SEC Championship win and a loss by one of the top teams. Elsewhere Saturday Arizona State and Stanford will play for a spot in the Rose Bowl. The Big 12 doesn’t have a conference championship game, but the top four teams in the conference play each other Saturday afternoon.

Saturday December 7
12:00pm, 17 Oklahoma @ 6 Oklahoma State – ABC
3:30pm, 25 Texas @ 9 Baylor – FOX
4:00pm, SEC Championship: 3 Auburn vs. 5 Missouri (from Atlanta) – CBS
8:00pm, Big Ten Championship: 2 Ohio State vs. 10 Michigan State (from Indianapolis) – FOX
8:00pm, ACC Championship: 20 Duke vs. 1 Florida State (from Charlotte) – ABC
10:00pm, MWC Championship: Utah State @ 23 Fresno State – CBS

  1. no Pact 12 game on TV??

  2. I think the Pac-12 game is Friday, also, is that right that the MWC title game is on CBS at 10 pm, as opposed to being on CBS Sports Network? Many of their affiliates in the Eastern Time Zone wouldn’t be too pleased, it will cut into their local newscasts.

  3. When Fox has the Pac 12 title game (even years), they show it on Fridays. ESPN is showing it Saturday night opposite two other conference title games. Right now it’s on Canadian TV. TSN2 has Sledge hockey while Sportsnet 1 is carrying the Big 10 title game. Sportsnet 1 would be smarter to show the Pac 12 game since Canadians can watch the Big 10 match-up on their Fox affiliate. I don’t know why they are too blind to see that.

Very odd to see the MWC title game on CBS with a 10 PM start. That’s huge for the league.
