NFL Canadian TV Guide: Week 7

NFL Logo
The only major thing to note for this weeks games is that tonights game (Thursday) will be on Sportsnet 360 due to MLB playoffs and regional hockey. Sportsnet states SN360 is currently in free preview for the month of October, so I guess everyone should be able to see it. That said,  I always presumed 360 / The Score was in all basic cable packages.

UPDATE: City and Sportsnet listings now added.

  1. Well in Quebec, Sportsnet 360 is only available on digital, as are most English cable channels with the exception of CNN, TSN, Sportsnet East, TLC, Discovery, CBC Newsworld, and the major US and Canadian broadcast networks. Quebec is a bad example though; it has to broadcast the many French language networks on analog.

  2. Is it just me or has Sportsnet been REAL slow in updating their broadcast schedule in the last month or so?

    • Very slow. They appear to be just jizzing their pants 24/7 lately over the MLB playoffs and seemingly forgetting about our sports.

      • Except when they only show the NLCS on Sportsnet Ontario, East, and Pacific, and people in Alberta such as myself can’t watch it, even though we subscribe to 3 Sportsnet channels.

      • LOL Dan! Seeing this post is making me laugh really hard.

I see that Sportsnet One has an NCAA Football game scheduled on their airwaves starting at 7:30 next Saturday night. Since it’s a Fox Sports 1 telecast, cue the removal of said NCAA Football game at the last minute (if not during the middle of the week). I mean, what’s the damn point of buying the rights to the Fox package of NCAA Football games if Sportsnet is not going to air a SINGLE game on a Saturday (unless it’s from over the air Fox)? Oh and another thing too, Sportsnet has advertised that they have a “robust college football platform”. If that’s not false advertising, then what the hell is it? Would a complaint to the CRTC hold any merit? Nah, they would more than likely ignore any complaints on that subject I bet ya.

  3. Hey Dan,

I just saw a promo for the two games that City & Sportsnet will carry this Sunday. They are: Texans @ Chiefs and Ravens @ Steelers. I don’t know about the rest of Canada, but Ottawa is getting all four games in the late afternoon window! :)

  4. 49ers-Titans (Sunday 4:05pm) on RDS

  5. The 49ers @ Titans will be on FOX Seattle and Spokane.

  6. Sounds like tuning into Sportsnet these days is like walking into a time machine that takes you back to the early 1960’s version of America when baseball was king, queen, and prince.
