Olympic Broadcast Schedule: Day 6 (Thursday, August 2)

Each day during the 2012 Olympic Games the Canadian Sports Media Blog, in conjunction with Channel Canada, will provide an Olympic broadcast schedule for all official broadcasters that are available in Canada. These include CTV, TSN, Sportsnet, OLN, RDS, V, RDS2, ATN, OMNI, plus American broadcaster NBC. After the broadcast schedule is a complete list of events for the day (today you will have to check Channel Canada for this). Many of these are available for live streaming on CTVOlympics.ca.

The four-hour show recaps the women’s individual all-around final and examines the mechanics of a gymnast’s body in a Superbodies segment on the balance beam with Dr. Greg Wells. Rowing Prime Time Studio Analyst Marnie McBean joins Williams in studio for a review of Canada’s performance in the women’s eights final. Viewers can also watch a profile on three-time gold medallist Chris Hoy during a recap of the day’s track cycling: team sprint competition, along with an entertainingDifference Makers with Rick Hansen on shot putter Dylan Armstrong and his beloved coach Dr. Anatoliy Bondarchuk, who won gold in the hammer throw at Munich 1972.

Recaps of canoe/kayak, men’s boxing, men’s basketball, men’s volleyball and a look at how Canada’s women’s eights team fared in the final earlier in the day.

  2. For the live events on NBC Daytime, it is live for eastern and central timezone stations, tape delayed in the mountain and pacific zones.
