2012 NFL Primetime TV Schedule

The National Football League released its 2012 TV schedule today. While we won’t know what games CTV, Citytv and Sportsnet will show on Sunday afternoons until fall; the primetime schedule is readily available.

Sportsnet’s Thursday night package extends to most of the season this year. NBC will show the Thursday night Thanksgiving Day game beginning this season. It is unclear whether TSN or Sportsnet own Canadian rights to that game.

Here is the complete NFL primetime TV schedule. All times eastern. Also note that this schedule is a projection and the networks are subject to change.

  1. Okay everyone, let’s start guessing which Sunday night games will be flexed.

The Saints @ Broncos on 10/28 will be flexed and so will the Chargers @ Jets on 12/23.

    • Saints-Broncos can’t be flexed. Plus, why would NBC want to flex Manning vs. Brees. It goes head-to-head with the World Series, hence why NBC chose New Orleans (no MLB team) and Denver (Rockies probably won’t make playoffs).

Flex weeks start November 18. Its really impossible to say what will be flexed since we have no idea what teams will be in contention, nor what the other options will be. Especially since CBS/FOX haven’t even chosen their protected games.

San Diego-New York is the most likely, yes, but I wouldn’t even say its a given.

  2. LOL, I was shooting from the hip on the whole flex thing without rhyme or reason.

What do you think?
