Guess this is as good a place to post this as any. No shocker here as RDS ratings for Canadiens games were down 19% this season averaging 645,000 viewers (down from 796,000 last year). The article says that even two recent Saturday night games pulled in less than 450,000 viewers. Ratings for the first round of the playoffs will probably be in the tank as well save for the games involving Ottawa and Pittsburgh.

Last week’s Senators-Jets game on March 26 on TVA Sports drew 15,300 viewers. It doesn’t look like TVA Sports’ audiences are that big which I guess is expected for a new station that doesn’t have the Canadiens. They drew 72,200 for a Senators-Penguins game back in November. By comparison RDS averaged 135,000 for Sens games this season.

Sorry, that should be 17,150 for the March 26 OTT-WPG game on TVA Sports.
I suppose one problem is Senators games on RDS never conflict with Canadiens games. OTOH many Senators games on TVA conflict with Canadiens games on RDS.
TVA Sports certainly has a long way to go to catch RDS.
