Sunday Night Baseball Returns to TSN2 April 8

TSN2 will once again showcase ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball every Sunday night this season. In total, TSN2 will broadcast 25 MLB games in 2012. Here is their press release with more information.

TSN2 is home to the biggest night in Major League Baseball with exclusive Canadian coverage of ESPN’s SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL throughout the 2012 MLB regular season. TSN2’s live coverage begins Sunday, April 8 at 8 p.m. ET with the Chicago White Sox taking on the Texas Rangers – and Japanese phenomenon Yu Darvish – at Rangers Ballpark.

In total, TSN2 has 25 SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL games during the 2012 MLB regular season featuring some of baseball’s biggest rivalries (see complete broadcast schedule below). Schedule highlights include games featuring:

  • Los Angeles Angels and Albert Pujols visiting the N.Y. Yankees and Derek Jeter (April 15
  • Rival teams Boston Red Sox and N.Y. Yankees (April 22 and July 8)
  • Defending champion St. Louis Cardinals (May 20 and July 15)
  • Defending AL pennant winner Texas Rangers and Yu Darvish (April 8, 29 and May 13)

All SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL match-ups can also be seen live on TSN Mobile TV.

Leading the SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL broadcast team is play-by-play commentator Dan Shulman, one of North America’s most prolific sports broadcasters and exclusive in Canada to TSN. Shulman, who has covered MLB since he began his career at TSN in 1995, returns for his second season in the highly-coveted SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL broadcast booth. He is joined by returning SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL analyst Orel Hershiser and new analyst Terry Francona.
