Men’s Olympic Football Qualifying on Sportsnet

CONCACAF is holding its Olympic football qualifying tournament. Canada’s group stage games are taking place in Nashville, while Kansas City will host the semi finals and final. Sportsnet will show four games from Canada’s group, both semi finals (which serve as the Olympic qualifying games) and the final. Both finalists will qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London joining world super powers, including Great Britain, Brazil, Uruguay and Spain.

Sportsnet’s broadcast team is Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest with Tony Ambrogio reporting from the touchline.

Here is Sportsnet’s broadcast schedule. All times are Eastern.

Thursday 3/22, 6:30pm – El Salvador vs. Canada – East/Ontario/One
Thursday 3/22, 9:00pm – United States vs. Cuba – One
Saturday 3/24, 7:00pm – United States vs. Canada – East/Ontario/West/Pacific
Monday 3/26, 6:30pm – Cuba vs. Canada – Ontario/One
Saturday 3/31, 6:00pm – Semifinal #1: B1 vs. A2 – One
Saturday 3/31, 9:00pm – Semifinal #2: A1 vs. B2 – West/Pacific/One
Monday 4/2, 8:00pm – Championship Final – One (this may also air on East/Ontario)

  1. the final is essentially an exhibition. so i guess it is no surprise that it is scheduled against the NCAA mens basketball final
