Sports on Canadian TV: February 3-4

It is Super Bowl weekend. Aside from football, it is a busy weekend in soccer and hockey. Here is the Sports on Canadian TV schedule for this weekend.

Here is my favourite Super Bowl halftime performance of all-time, U2 in 2002, to listen to while you read.

  1. Does anyone know when the mls/cfl/mlb and tennis boardcast schedule’s will be out?

    • The CFL and MLS schedules should be out in the next couple weeks.

MLB on FOX is fairly easy to guess by looking at the MLB schedule. Sunday Night Baseball is confirmed through late May. Sportsnet usually releases their MLB broadcast schedule in March.

Sportsnet’s tennis schedule is semi-confirmed right now. I have it in an Excel file. I can send it to you if you want; just send me an email asking for it.

  2. I guess this is off topic too, but TSN has put up their F1 broadcast schedule. Of course I seek out “alternatives” for my F1 coverage as TSN truly sucks, but two things catch my eye. They don’t list the Canadian Grand Prix being shown, only the qualifying. I wonder if the race itself will air on CTV perhaps as they could then simsub the Fox coverage of the race which can’t be blacked out unlike when Speed shows the races. Secondly is the United States Grand Prix looks like it will be shown on TSN2 taped delayed. If this is the case they better not have the nerve to blackout the Speed coverage if they aren’t showing it live themselves. I wish we could legitimately get the true Sky/BBC coverage here with all the extras. Even Speed and RDS for that matter are much better than TSN!

  3. Not counting Red Bull Crashed Ice as a sport?

What do you think?
