2011-12 NBA on TSN Schedule

TSN announced their 2011-12 NBA broadcast schedule this morning. TSN and TSN2 will combine to broadcast 37 non-Raptors NBA games this season, mostly on Thursday nights. Here is an excerpt from TSN’s press release detailing their coverage.

TSN kicks off the NBA season with a highly-anticipated double-header on December 25 featuring Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks hosting Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics at 12 noon ET immediately followed by NBA Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki and the defending champion Dallas Mavericks taking on LeBron James and the Miami Heat at 2:30 p.m. ET in a rematch of last year’s finals. The action continues on TSN2 with Chicago @ LA Lakers (5 p.m. ET), Orlando @ Oklahoma (8 p.m. ET) and LA Clippers @ Golden State (10:30 p.m. ET).

On top of the regular season broadcast schedule, TSN and TSN2 have live coverage of NBA ALL-STAR WEEKEND from Feb. 24-26 and the NBA PLAYOFFS, as well as exclusive Canadian coverage of the NBA FINALS. TSN also has the broadcast rights to any Raptors playoff games during the post-season.

  1. Any words when TVA Sports will released their NBA TV games schedule?

  2. I am so happy TSN has the TNT Thursday Night package. TNT easily has the best studio crew and their commentators and their production in general is just much better than ESPN.

    • Have to agree with you about TNT being better than ESPN when it comes to NBA coverage. I could swear that at least half of ESPN’s NBA discussion will be about the Miami Heat and Lebron James this season.

What do you think?
