College Football Canadian TV Guide: Week 4

Here is the compete Canadian college football TV guide for this week. I am going to try to post this every week for the rest of the season. The rankings are Associated Press poll rankings. As a result of this, I’m no longer going to include Big Ten Network in Sports on Canadian TV. I find that post is getting a bit cluttered.

  1. You’re simply AMAZING!!! I hope you’re profitable as well. Thank you.

    • I haven’t put a single cent in, and I haven’t made anything off of it. Unfortunately, that’s how WordPress works (they don’t allow advertising). I hope to have some free time around Christmas, at which point I’ll probably drop the WordPress domain. Then hopefully I’ll be profitable.

  2. What is TSN/TSN2 showing Saturday night instead of Florida/Kentucky or USC/Arizona St?

    • They can’t air USC-Arizona St because they have Rugby World Cup at 10:30pm ET.

Just wait and laugh at what they have from 7-10:30pm: Canadian Karting Championship (2 hours of it!!), Top 10 Summer X Games moments and Rugby World Cup highlights. I guess their fear is that the football will run into the rugby, but I think they could probably fit it in.

TSN has CFL and MLS all evening (CFL at 7, MLS at 10:30).

      • I can understand the fear of the game running into RWC (though nothing justifies airing Canadian Karting in primetime). I wonder whether things would be different if it were actually a good game instead of Florida/Kentucky.

  3. For the first time EVER last Saturday, Rogers Super Sports Pack included the FSN national TV College Football games on the SSP which were Colorado-Colorado State and the Oklahoma State-Tulsa game and both games were available for SSP subscribers so be on the look for that to anyone who has the Super Sports Pack. FSN national TV games scheduled for this Saturday are both in the afternoon: SMU-Memphis at Noon ET followed by California-Washington at 3:30pm ET. Those games may be on the Rogers Super Sports Pack this Saturday. Those FSN games are separate from the weekly FX games which air on SNET One.

    • I don’t believe those games are sold separately; Sportsnet One is showing a few FSN games this year. Rogers just elected to air them in the Super Sports Pak instead of on Sportsnet ONE. That is where the money is with college football in Canada.

  4. Isn’t Michigan (not State) – playing SDSU this week? Despite this – really love the inclusion of NCAA football in this blog!
