2011 University Football TV Schedule

Just so I don’t forget to post this, and then be accused of an anti-CIS football bias, here is the 2011 CIS Football on theScore schedule. TheScore didn’t issue a press release, but Tim Micallef and DJ Bennett will call the action (at least until Micallef is signed by Rogers). Here is the schedule.

Between theScore and TSN, 14 CIS football games will air nationally on English language channels this year. Shaw will also distribute 9 Canada West games on their cable and satellite services. Radio-Canada will show 11 games for the LFUQ in Quebec. Those schedules are available in this post after the break.

  1. That Rad-Can schedule just kills me. Montreal on 6 broadcasts in a row, while Sherbrooke, Bishop’s and McGill only get one game each, and Concordia and Laval(!) only get two?

I think instead of the St. Mary’s game, they might have gone with Laval and Sherbrooke on the 17th.

  2. Is Tim Micallef really signing for Rogers or were you making a joke? If it’s true that would be a huge loss for The Score

  3. Also, the AUS Schedule is out for EastLinkTV (games available to NS/PEI/NL and Sackville, NB). Games also streamed on EastLink website

All games 2pm AT (2:30 NT)

    9/10 – Acadia @ StFX
9/17 – Bishops @ Mount Allison (interlock game)
    9/24 – StFX @ Acadia
    10/1 – Acadia @ SMU
    10/8 – Acadia @ Mount Allison
    10/15 – SMU @ StFX
    10/22 – SMU @ Acadia
    10/29 – Acadia @ StFX

Both games 1pm AT (1:30 NT)

    11/5 – Semi-final (2 vs. 3)
    11/12 – Loney Bowl

  4. As a long time CFL fan i have become more interested in the CIS. It is good to see that the CIS has some TV deals in place for their football programs. It creates excitement for the fans and revenue for the schools. It will help take Canadian Football to the next level.
